Hello! My name is Matt Thompson I am the founder and Chief Talent Officer of Thompson Search Group (TSG). With 24 years of experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, and Human Resources, both as a corporate professional and a third-party consultant, I offer a comprehensive understanding of talent management. My expertise spans various industries, including fintech, sales, information technology, engineering, power supply, accounting, EHS, supply chain/logistics, and retail/restaurant operations.

I have been certified as SPHR and SHRM-SCP and as well as the Certified Diversity Recruiter certification. My experience includes all aspects of Talent and HR Management, including training, development, payroll, benefits, risk management, and employee relations. Prior to founding TSG, I led HR and talent management efforts for OGE Energy Corp., Whataburger, and Love’s Travel Stops.

I have expertise in Talent Development, leading professional development and coaching programs, and leveraging behavioral models such as Big Five, Harrison Paradox, DDI, and Lominger/Korn Ferry for position description alignment and workforce planning.

I am well-versed in various HRIS, ATS, LMS, and TMS systems, including Beamery CRM and CMS (Umbraco), WorkDay, PeopleSoft/Oracle, SAP, JDE, and have experience integrating technologies such as Tableau and Snowflake for data analysis.

Additionally, I bring over 20 years of recruitment marketing experience, having helped design and implement strategies for Fortune list companies, both internally and with vendors such as Michaels Wilder, Symphony Talent/Hodes/SmashFly and PH Creative (Beamery).
